The HI7609829-12 is a combination liquid membrane selective sensor used for the detection of nitrate-nitrogen in freshwater samples. Its double junction design contains an Ag/AgCl, gel filled reference chamber. The HI7609829-12 utilizes a polymeric membrane constructed in a PVC head. This sensor is used in the pH sensor socket of the probe.

The PEI (polyetherimide) electrode body is suitable for a wide range of applications and excels in field measurements due to its durability. The shielding around the spherical glass tip minimizes breakage due to accidental bumping or dropping of the electrode. Polymer Membrane

The sensor is built with a polymer membrane containing a nitrate ionophore specifically designed to select for nitrate ions.
